Hali’s journey to starting a microbakery began with a pandemic baking project.

Her first attempt at making croissants in March 2020 resulted in something closer to a biscuit, but she kept at it. Four years later, Hali was coming up on her 29th birthday, burnt out from working in management consulting and tech, and longing to wake up everyday and do something she loved.

She quit her job as a product manager in 2024 to enroll in pastry school in Paris. When she got back to New York, she started Hali Home Bakes as a way to share all she learned and tasted in her time abroad.

Hali’s assortments are curated and seasonally themed, featuring creations like Chili Crisp Scallion Rolls, Pumpkin Spice Madeleines, and Asian-French inspired mooncakes - her 2025 collection features Black Sesame Passionfruit, Matcha Pistachio, Red Bean Egg Yolk, and Hazelnut Praline Chocolate.
